Here’s your chance to relive the magic of the “E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial” movie on the big screen. The Tivoli Theatre in downtown Downers Grove is hosting a special screening of this family classic at 10AM on Saturday, February 11th. All proceeds from this showing will benefit a Downers Grove family whose two children have been diagnosed with a rare, fatal illness, LINCL-Batten disease.

The DuPage County Forest Preserve District has announced this year’s “Hard-Water Classic” ice fishing tournament at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville. Of the tree-lighting events listed below, my personal favorite is the Glen Ellyn event. The tree lighting takes place right in the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn at Main Street and Crescent Blvd. The setting is very much like that of a Norman Rockwell painting. The entire family is sure to enjoy it!
Santa will be paying a special visit to Kline Creek’s “Christmas on the Farm” celebration on Saturday, December 3rd and Sunday, December 4th. The free event, sponsored by the DuPage County Forest Preserve District will run from 1:30PM to 3:30PM both days.
