The DuPage County Forest Preserve District has announced this year’s “Hard-Water Classic” ice fishing tournament at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville. The tournament will take place Saturday, February 11th from noon to 3:30PM at Silver Lake. Awards will be given to those who catch the longest in bass, bluegill and crappie. An additional award will be presented for the longest fish caught (regardless of type) during the tournament.
Valid Illinois fishing licenses are required for all participants over the age of 16. Save $5 by registering for the event in advance for $15 per participant. You can register in advance at www.signmeup.com/79739. Registration on the day of the event at Blackwell is $20 per participant.
