DuPage County Events
The DuPage County Fair is set to begin this Wednesday, July 21st. The 5-day fair ends, Sunday, July 25th. If you have never been to the DuPage County Fairgrounds, they are located near DuPage Civic Center and County Courthouse in Wheaton located near County Farm and Manchester roads. Fairground access and parking is available just east of County Farm Road on Manchester.
Today, July 15th, marks the beginning of GroveFest in Downers Grove, IL. The featival is hosted in downtown Downers Grove and runs through the weekend, ending at 10PM on Sunday, July 18th. GroveFest is one of the better summer festivals in DuPage County, featuring carnival rides, live music, and tasty food. The carnival starts tonight…
Over the years, I have seen the fireworks displays in Naperville, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Warrenville, and Lisle. All have been fairly impressive. Ribfest Naperville is the most anticipated DuPage County summer festival. Over the past 10 years, the festival and venue have continued to grow – so have the crowds. Swedish Days festival in Geneva officially begins today, June 22nd. The festival runs through Sunday the 27th. Have a safe and thankful Memorial Day! Thank you to those who have or are serving to protect our great nation. We appreciate the sacrifices you make everyday to ensure our freedom and liberty! There is nothing quite like fresh fruit and vegetables. Now that the local growing season has started, check out some of these great local farmer’s markets located throughout DuPage County… There have been recent rumblings that the DuPage County Fairgrounds may again be sold off. The substantial parcel of land is used for the primary purpose of hosting the DuPage County Fair. The Taste of Wheaton begins June 2nd and runs through the 6th. The Taste of Wheaton is located in Memorial Park at 208 West Union Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. This park is bound by Wheaton Avenue, Union Avenue, Hale Street and Seminary Avenue. There are a number of festivals and events hosted throughout DuPage County this summer. Below is a list of local events that you won’t want to miss.
