This is the first edition of our weekend things-to-do-list. Going forward, each Thursday, we will provide you with a list of weekend events in DuPage County.
The 8th-annual Naperville Wine Festival begins tomorrow, Friday, Sepetember 17th (4PM – 10PM) and continues through Saturday, September 18th (3PM – 9PM). The festival is located at Naper Settlement, just south of downtown Naperville.
If you have young children and haven’t attended a previous Safety Saturday, you won’t want to miss this event! There is a lot to like about this event. First of all, admission is free, but what I like most is that the event is really fun! It’s geared to kids and promotes awareness and child safety.
The Village Links golf course, a public course in Glen Ellyn has started their Fall Fest 2010 promotion.
The Home Show comes to the Darien Sportsplex this coming weekend, Saturday, September 18th through Sunday, September 19th from 10AM – 5PM.
Movie buffs rejoice! The Naperville Independent Film Festival (NIFF), an 8-day event, begins Saturday, September 18 and runs through the following Saturday, September 15th.
Taylor Brewing Company at 717 E. Butterfield Road in Lombard (near Yorktown Mall) will be hosting a fundraiser in support of the DuPage County Animal Shelter. This event, a beer-tasting, will be held on Thursday, October 21st from 7PM to 9PM. You get four 4oz samples of in-house special-brewed beer.
