Swedish Days in Geneva, IL

June 22, 2010 | By | Reply More

Swedish Days festival in Geneva officially begins today, June 22nd. The festival runs through Sunday, June 27th. I know, I know, Geneva is in Kane County, NOT DuPage, but it’s close and worth a visit.

The festival kicks-off with a concert by the Beatles tribute band, Liverpool, tonight at 8PM. Additional acts and live entertainment are lined up throughout the week. There is even an ever-popular battle-of-the-bands scheduled for later in the week, so check it out…

Swedish Days highlights include:

  • Great food
  • Carnival rides
  • Live entertainment
  • Numerous family-friendly events
  • Art and crafts
  • Savings at local retail shops

A full Swedish Days schedule can be found here.

I have attended this festival in the past and have had a great time. It really is well organized and a bunch of fun for couples or the whole family. The festival is located in and around downtown Geneva along the Fox River. Take Roosevelt Rd (Route 38) west to Geneva (Roosevelt runs right through the center of town) and follow the festival signs.
