Navistar International Corporation is expected to announce the relocation of their headquarters offices today at a 10AM press-conference.
Navistar will be moving their headquarters from the current Warrenville location (near I88 and Winfield Road) to a new location in Lisle. The new locaton is at the Alcatel-Lucent site, 2701 Lucent Lane near the intersection of Naperville and Warrenville roads.
There has been some opposition to the Lisle move as some residents are concerned about increased traffic and pollution associated with the move and the potential of Navistar setting up an engine testing site at this location.
The good news is that this move will keep jobs in DuPage County. Navistar had been looking at other possible location in Alabama, Texas and South Carolina.
