Holiday Music Events in Naperville this Weekend

Take the family out and get into the Christmas spirit this weekend. These family-oriented, fun musical events are taking place throughout Naperville.

Friday, Dec. 17

‘Charlie Brown Christmas’ – Pianist David Benoit performs “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at North Central College. The performance also features the Young Naperville Singers and begins at 8 p.m. in the college’s Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Tickets are $50 and $45. The Union will present its first unplugged holiday show, “Chapel of Cheer.” Kevin Andrew Prchal will share the stage with Naperville’s finest barbershop singers, The Chorus of DuPage, and guests Little Light. The show will begin at 7 p.m. in Koten Chapel at Kiekhofer Hall, 329 E. School St., Naperville. Tickets are $6 in advance or $8 at the door; proceeds will benefit Bryan House to assist in raising money for a second building to house refugee families. Saturday, Dec. 18

Naperville Chorus Christmas Concert – This group will present a concert titled “Carols Across Time and Place” at 8 p.m. at Wentz Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Naperville. The concert will consist of Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols” and Conrad Susa’s “Carols and Lullabies.” The 135 member chorus is conducted by Jeordano Martinez. Jazz Nativity – At 5 p.m., Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., will present “Bending Towards the Light … A Jazz Nativity.” Arrive early for good seats. Call 630-355-2522 or visit www.oursaviours.com.
