This Saturday, October 8th, Cantigny in Wheaton will celebrate autumn with their annual Fall Festival. The event runs from 10AM to 4PM and will feature live music by The Salt Creek Boys in addition to stilt walkers, jugglers, and a live children’s show by the entertainer ScribbleMonster. Other family-friendly fun includes a hayrides, jumping inflatables, face painting, and a petting zoo. Snacks will be available via outdoor vendors.
If you are looking for an economical way to enjoy what is forecasted to be a beautiful fall day, the Cantigny Fall Festival is the place to go. Parking costs $5 per car, but admission to the festival is free and includes all of the fun events already listed (there is a charge for food and drinks). For a reasonable charge, you can also buy your Halloween pumpkins at this event.
Stroll around the 500-acre property and admire the changing colors of fall. Be sure to check out the variety of scarecrows that are on display throughout the estate (maps will be provided outlining the locations of the various scarecrow displays).
