The Tivoli Theatre in downtown Downers Grove is hosting a special screening of this family classic at 10AM on Saturday, February 11th. All proceeds from this showing will benefit a Downers Grove family whose two children have been diagnosed with a rare, fatal illness, LINCL-Batten disease.

Illinois Ban on Electronics Disposal Begins in 2012

Illinois has passed the Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act, which mandates that most consumer electronics be recycled. Trash collection agencies will no longer accept these items and will incur fines from the Illinois EPA if they do.

Cantigny Fall Festival Saturday
This Saturday, October 8th, Cantigny in Wheaton will celebrate autumn with their annual Fall Festival. The event runs from 10AM to 4PM and will feature live music by The Salt Creek Boys in addition to stilt walkers, jugglers, and a live children’s show by the entertainer ScribbleMonster.
