Winfield Good Old Days 2011

good old days winfield

Winfield Good Old Days festival begins tomorrow, Thursday, September 8th at 5PM.  The family-friendly festival is one of my personal favorites of the DuPage County summer festival season, featuring a carnival, food, fun, and live entertainment.

As many DuPage villages continue to grow, Winfield has managed to maintain its small-town appeal.  The Good Old Days festival feels like you’re taking a trip back to simpler times.  Where some of the Naperville festivals focus on large-scale attractions and the grandiose, the aptly named Winfield Good Old Days festival, maintains a focus on family, friends, and good old-fashioned fun.

The festival runs through Sunday, September 11th.  Good Old Days is held in the downtown Winfield area, north of Roosevelt Road on Winfield Road.  Parking is available on nearby village streets and in designated lots.

Here is the 2011 Good Old Days events schedule:

Your kids will love the annual Good Old Days parade.  Be sure to bring a couple of empty bags; you’re kids will probably collect more candy at this parade than they will at trick-or-treating!   Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!
