“E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial” at Tivoli Theatre to Benefit Local Family
Here’s your chance to relive the magic of the “E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial” movie on the big screen. The Tivoli Theatre in downtown Downers Grove is hosting a special screening of this family classic at 10AM on Saturday, February 11th. All proceeds from this showing will benefit a Downers Grove family whose two children have been diagnosed with a rare, fatal illness, LINCL-Batten disease.

Illinois Ban on Electronics Disposal Begins in 2012
Did you know that beginning January 1, 2012, you will no longer be allowed to dispose of electronic equipment in the trash? Illinois has passed the Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act, which mandates that most consumer electronics be recycled. Trash collection agencies will no longer accept these items and will incur fines from the Illinois EPA if they do.
