Giordano’s Pizza, a DuPage and Chicagoland pizza favorite, has filed for bankruptcy protection. The pizza chain has more than 55 restaurants operating in Illinois and Florida (with the vast majority of restaurants in the Chicago area).

The DuPage County Law Library, though often overlooked, is a valuable source of free legal information. The library is on the 2nd floor of the DuPage County Judicial Center located off County Farm Road in Wheaton (at the county municipal services complex near the DuPage County Fairgrounds). The library is open to the public Monday through Friday only (there are no weekend hours available) from 8AM – 4:30PM.
As a parent of young, elementary-age children, I am amazed at the amount of homework my kids bring home on an almost daily-basis. It’s insane! Kids need to be kids. They need to play, have fun, stretch their imaginations, and explore. A second-grade student does not need to be spending five or more hours each week on homework assignments.

The 426-room Holiday Inn Select hotel at Naperville Road and Diehl Road in Naperville is closing. I have heard that they are currently liquidating all of the furnishings via a public onsite sale.
