Gun Found on Madison School Grounds in Wheaton

A Wheaton resident contacted police after finding a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol on a walking trail on Madison School’s grounds. The pistol was found lying near a dog leash on December 15th.

The pistol was found in the morning, prior to the start of school. Wheaton police searched the remaining school grounds and found nothing more of concern. Police remained on-site at Madison for the rest of the day.
