Here are the official 2011 trick-or-treating hours as set by the villages of DuPage County. Please note that some villages do not have mandated trick-or-treating hours, a link to more information has been provided when available.
Did you know that beginning January 1, 2012, you will no longer be allowed to dispose of electronic equipment in the trash? Illinois has passed the Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act, which mandates that most consumer electronics be recycled. Trash collection agencies will no longer accept these items and will incur fines from the Illinois EPA if they do.

Revanth Vema, 28, of Naperville, had recently posted a photo of his car with a message that he was “ready to drive at 90-mph.” It is alleged that Mr. Vema’s excessive speed caused an accident and very serious injuries to two motorcycle riders.
In recognition of Fire Safety Week, the Glen Ellyn Fire Department will play host to a fire safety open house at the downtown fire station. The station is located at the corner of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The open house will take place from 10AM – 1PM on Saturday, October 8th.
