There are many children in DuPage County who’s families do not have the financial resources to obtain even the most basic of school supplies. These are tough economic times that hit low-income families very hard. Many families in need barely have the financial means to put food on the table or to pay for basic care necessities.

This is a directory of social services and public resource organizations serving DuPage County. Some of these organizations are private charities and some are sponsored by DuPage County (i.e. your tax dollars at work). All are worthy organizations intended to assist DuPage County residents in times of need.
A public sale will be held at the old Hubble Middle School / Wheaton Central High School property in Wheaton on Friday and Saturday (October 14th and 15th). The school, located on the northwest corner of Roosevelt Road and Naperville Road in Wheaton is slated to be demolished.

The DuPage County Fair is set to begin this Wednesday, July 21st. The 5-day fair ends, Sunday, July 25th. If you have never been to the DuPage County Fairgrounds, they are located near DuPage Civic Center and County Courthouse in Wheaton located near County Farm and Manchester roads. Fairground access and parking is available just east of County Farm Road on Manchester.
It’s both disgusting and annoying when pet owners do not clean up after their pets in public parks. The Poo Free Parks Program (a little alliteration for ya) makes it very easy for pet owners to clean up after their pets do their business. Having cleanup supplies handy will hopefully be just the push lazy pet owners need.
