Naperville, IL City Profile and Information
Naperville was settled in 1831 by Joseph Naper and his brother John. The city was incorporated in 1890. Until the early 1970’s, Naperville was considered to be a far-off, rural Chicago suburb consisting mainly of farms and clusters of neighborhood developments.
